June 16, 2016

An exciting development project is going to take place at our Scappoose Industrial Airpark. Cascades, Inc has announced plans for a $64 million manufacturing facility at the airport. In addition to 200 employment jobs during construction, the facility will produce 80 jobs to the community when the project is operational, slated for 1st quarter 2017.

The facility will manufacture virgin and recycled bathroom tissue products and paper hand towels for the Away from Home market. The unit will be supplied by the Cascades tissue paper plant located 12 kilometers away in St. Helens , creating considerable synergies. Its production capacity will be close to six million cases per year, or approximately 53,000 tonnes of finished product.
